Butterflies Galore

Two fun, fun, fun cards made with the soon to be missed Butterfly Punch.

The top card was my version of an idea I saw in Stampin' Success magazine...they used the punch to decorate a present :)

And the bottom card was another CASE from a fellow demonstrator, Heather Summers.  I think we have the same taste, because I tend to like everything she makes!  And this card was no different.  Isn't it clever???

Simply punch an outline out of your DSP strips and then add a punched butterfly in a coordinating design.  A couple of Basic Rhinestones and some ribbon and viola!
Love it!

Fox and Friends

This is the cutest little set for kids :)

But, then again, I can't pass up a set that has a turtle or a whale in it!  So I think it's just the cutest little set, period.  Too stinkin' cute!!

I made this for a little one's first birthday....

Since we only have a few days left from the current catalog, I thought I'd spend some time sneaking in some of the cards with retiring products I never had time to post....as a result, lots of these cards also have retired accessories and designer series paper (and I've forgotten their names) !!  But that's the fun of stampin' right...CASE away and substitute your favorite papers, colors and embellishments, right??   :)

Vintage Frame

A short departure from my usual...an altered frame.

I actually decorated this a couple years ago and a Stampin' Up convention in an organized swap I sometimes participate in.  So it wasn't my design, but since the fabulous stencils we used are going away in just a few short days, I thought I best finally share it with you.

This frame started out the usual plain wood colored and we dressed it up a bit.  We sponged the entire frame lightly with (I think) Baja Breeze, the stencils are soft suede...and I just love the paper daisies!  I need to use them more often!

And wouldn't this make a great card, too??

Always

I fell in love with this stamp the first time I saw it.  I loved the delicate flourish design.

I made this card for a wedding....

Simple and somewhat understated in person.  And amazingly quick.  I wasn't in a hurry, but the image adds so much to a card without a lot of work!  You are done before you know it :)

I stamped the image in Basic Gray and highlighted a few areas with a Baja Breeze Marker.  And my ribbon is actually doubled....Baja Breeze seam binding layered over Basic Gray Satin Ribbon.  I love the look and feel of Satin Ribbon.  Which you need to get, as soon as possible, if you love it as much as I do.  It's only available while supplies last or until May 31, which ever comes first!

Crazy for Cupcakes

I am Crazy for these Cupcakes!!!

I love, love this set and will miss it when it retires from the Stampin' Up catalog!

But I've gotten some great mileage out of it and this particular layout was used time and again.

It is simple and easily modified to match any designer paper your heart desires.

My favorite thing on this card is the "frosting"!  I used the shimmer paint in frost...and a watercolor brush to drop a little puddle of shimmery paint onto the tops of these cupcakes.  The puddle of frosting takes a bit to dry....so I add a small dab of Crystal Effects and the effect is just amazing in person.  It really makes this card POP ;)

So FUN!
