It's National Dog Day!

It's a great day to pay special attention to your doggies today!

My dog has so many quirks. 

He was a rescued stray - - and even after 11 years - - 

he still has some of those issues.

Like being afraid of the dark and acting like going outside is some crazy punishment. 

He absolutely hates closed doors.

Buster is great. Cracks us up everyday.

What does your dog do that makes you laugh?

Designer Series Paper Challenge!

If you had to create a card using cardstock and designer series paper, just like this....

What do you think your card would look like?

I challenged myself to use 1 package of designer series paper and each print had to be used for a different layout!

The premise of the challenge is to basically:

1. Choose your favorite designer series paper and cut (4) squares that are 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches. 

2. Add a coordinating layer of cardstock cutting (4) squares that are 1 3/4 x 1/3/4

3. Add a card layer cut at 5 1/4 x 4

4. Adhere everything to a white card base measuring 8 1/2 x 5 1/2

Quick and cute card that packs a bit of wow!

The flowers are punched out using the new In-Color Shimmery Vellum!

They are so soft and shimmery in real life and they really make this card pop.

A flower center using the In-Color Jewels and it's finished to perfection.

Inspired Canopy

This is an amazing bundle to work with!

The die cuts out the tress and the leaves.

It's so easy to just randomly place your leaves around and fill it in. 

Glue some down, pop others up with dimensions...

and you have an eye pleasing array of varying trees.

I used the scrap piece from the negative of punching out tree branches, 

that would normally be trash,

and placed it along the bottom to create a bit of overgrown, "foresty" floor feels.

A little bit of balmy blue blending softens up the whisper white adds a little bit of natural sky background.

I'm a big fan of bling and cutesy embellishments.

I look at it the same way you get dressed. 

You get all dressed and then you add that last bit of jewelry!

The loose flower flourishes come in three colors add the perfect finishing touch!

Turtle Friends

Last week, I introduced you to Yertle.

Well, this week, I'd like to introduce you to Myrtle

 and her little turtles, Gertle, Bertle, and Shellie!

I luv how they turned out in flirty flamingo with their Pattern Party shells 

embossed with the Hammered Metal Embossing Folder!

A little bit of bling added the finishing touches to these fun, flirty gals!

I made this sweet card for a friend's birthday.

The flower petals use: 

Pearlescent Specialty Paper

Petal Pink

Pear Pizzazz

and a touch of Going Gray

It's constructed entirely out of designer series paper

so the card forms it's own envelope!

This is such an amazing fold that shows off both sides of your favorite designer series paper!

A little scoring and a few snips - - 

with another flower on the back...

Opens up to hold a postcard style note for the birthday girl!

You'll have to excuse the shadowy pictures!

Sometimes a quick picture just has to do,

so it gets into the mail in time!

Team Meeting!

 

Just like so many of you, after over 18 months of staying safe from Covid - - 

We had our first team meeting!

As a Stampin' UP! Demonstrator, there are so many perks beyond making our our own hours, early access to products, discounts, and commissions....

BUT, getting together with friends to share ideas and learn new techniques, 

is above all else, the best perk!

We were so excited to see each other again!
