Oval All 2

I had a chance to get stamping cards again today! I was a little sidetracked with a couple of "book" projects I have been working on. I am so close to being finished that I was spending my time working on them and didn't get a chance to make cards to post for you all :) I hope to finish them and give you a peak at them soon! But I put together this card today. I'm experimenting with different ways to post my pictures. I've been scanning them, as that is the fastest method with the least amount of steps. But today I took a snapshot of the card. We'll see how it looks once I publish this post. Feel free to comment on your favorite mode!

Stamps: Oval All
Papers: Very Vanilla, Sahara Sand, Bella Blue DSP

Oval All

So....I contemplated repeating yesterday's post as my April Fool's Day joke! Or at least making another quilting card, ahhh! But I had such fun creating some cards and getting ready for a workshop this weekend that I just couldn't resist sharing my card with you. You can thank me later :) Besides, I am all April Fooled out. My boys spent all day "pranking" me. Which at their age consists of making up some entirely random story and then yelling at me "April Fooled You"! I can thank the Disney Channel for preparing them with all kinds of helpful hints about playing jokes on people. My middle son even hid the shampoo. Luckily he stays nearby to enjoy our reaction and is sooo quick to take credit for the antics :) Naturally, this has been going on for a few days given they have no idea that it's only supposed to one day of FUN (?)... It's all OK, though, I got them back! One of the pastors at our church had a fabulous idea and called and told them school was cancelled! We had a good laugh!
Anyways, April 1st was the start of a great new Occasions Mini Catalog! The spring colors are just beautiful and you can't pass up the new Designers Series Paper "Walk in the Park". For this card I used several items showcased in the new mini. This uses the new DSP, our new Oval Scallop Punch, and a new coordinating stamp set "Oval All". The colors are "Baja Breeze", "Basic Gray" and "Cameo Coral". I wish you could see that the oval is popped up using dimensionals, as well as, the little flower is actually cut out and popped up, too! It really adds some character. I can't wait to keep playing with our new goodies!
Happy Stamping!

Quilt Quips

Happy April Fool's Day!!!!
OK, Folks....I want to say that I have saved the best for last, but I really like a couple of the cards I made in my quilting theme of cards! This one is definitely in my top 3 of favorites. This is my 9th and final card in my little series I have been working on, as of late. (Or is it??....it is April Fool's Day - I guess you will just have to come back tomorrow to see if I'm FOOLING you). I pulled my inspiration for this one from a picture in Stampin Up's giant idea book and catalog....the picture they have is of a decorated pin cushion, but the colors and simplicity were just too sweet to pass up. So here is my version in greeting card form! I used "Certainly Celery" card stock and Patterns Designer Series Paper. With a couple of simple embellishments using our "Pretties Kit", "White Taffeta Ribbon", and the final touch with our special green "Square Ice Rhinestone Brad", this card was finished within minutes! The sentiment, stamped in "Handsome Hunter" says, "may your sorrows be patched and your joys be quilted". Very Sweet!
