Fun Flowers

A little bit of fun with my countdown to the end of the Occasions Mini Catalog.  This card's focal point is the Fun Flowers Bigz die.  Cute, quick die cut flowers you can vary from casual to elegant with just a slight change of paper!

My flowers alternate Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy and First Edition Specialty Designer Paper, and are placed atop Springtime Vintage Designer Paper.  This particular pattern is my favorite out of this package.  Unfortunately, you can only get the Springtime Vintage DSP, along with the Very Vanilla Seam Binding, for 2 more days....the countdown continues....the Occasions Mini ends April 30 :(

But, there's a BUT, the carry over product listing has been revealed and, drum roll please, the Fun Flowers Die and First Edition Specialty Designer Paper will still be available for purchase!!!  Isn't that great ??  And for a fabulous finish, a single Dainty Pearl completes my card :)

Valentine Defined

Valentine Define is going to be MISSED!  I love this set.  And it is soo much more than a Valentine set, despite it's name.  I want to call this image my fave....but I say that about this one, the cute little tree, and of course, the hearts on a string!  I guess it's safe to say, I love, love, love this set :)  But sadly it is time to say good-bye and we'll just have to hope it makes it into the big catty next year!

These were some little 3 x 3 Thank Yous I put into my orders a couple months ago.  Aren't they adorable??

Sorry for the shadows...I am getting better at photos (I hope), but these were taken before the hubs found my fabulous new little photo studio and since I used them all....I had to keep the picture.  So it's a little hard to see, since it's subtle....but the garden green backing is embossed with the Square Lattice Folder.  It gave it nice texture and pizazz!  The flowers are hand colored with Stampin' Write markers.  The stems are garden green, and the heart flowers are Concord Crush, of course!  It wouldn't be right if everything didn't match :)

And, of course, a few additions and a quick 3x3 card is magically transformed into a full card suitable for any proper Thank YOU!  The Tulip Frame is lightly sponged with matching concord crush ink to highlight the raised portion.

Plane and Simple

With the end of the Occasions Mini catalog, we will also say good-bye to this perfect "guy" set.

Plane and Simple makes an easy masculine card, which are my weakness.  So a big Thank You! to my friend, Glad, who shared this design with me.

The front flap has a 1 1/2 inch strip cut to expose a small strip of Woodland Walk Designer Paper.  I hadn't noticed this paper in the catalog.  But once I saw it in person, I had to have it!  It's just beautiful in person :)

Bring on the Cake

This is a quick and simple card.  A perfect birthday card...

I was perusing a website that mentioned a mono-chromatic challenge and this one fits the bill to a tee :)  Tangerine Tango was my color of choice!  As I was peering into my mini catty box of supplies - - my pom-pom trim and matching buttons were calling to me!!  Some Patterns Designer Series paper and bing-bang...a quick and cute card.  Card challenges are great for getting you started.  I love them whenever I am stumped or just looking for a starting point.

This card also uses several items that are only available for a few more days!  The stamp set Bring on the Cake, Pom Pom trim and big designer buttons are soon going away with the end of the Occasions Mini catalog.

Spring is Blossoming!

Until April 30, you have the opportunity to pre-order a special stamp set and new pack of designer paper with any order totaling $20 or more!  After April 30....they won't be available until the debut of the new catalog on July 1 :(

The Four Frames stamp set coordinates perfectly with the Decorative Label Punch.  And isn't this Paisley Prints Designer Paper just gorgeous??
Some Basic Pearls, Vintage Flower Adornments and Old Olive Taffeta ribbon add the perfect finishing touch!

These papers are so fun to work with - - it was really hard to decide which ones to play with first.

This is another fun card I did earlier this month using the Four Frames stamp set.  I just loved the bird in the corner....he is serene and subtle.  I chose Botanical Gazette designer paper to go with him.  I liked the coordinating birds and cages while the colors were fabulous for a more serious card that worked well for a masculine card and many other occassions.  In fact 2 people traded my "enjoy" saying from the stamp set "Fabulous Phrases" for sympathy.  I was so glad this card is easily adaptable for any need!

Spring is Blossoming with Sneak Peek products from the upcoming 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog. You can get these brand-new products in one of two ways:
•Spend $20* on any Stampin' Up! products and become eligible to purchase both the Four Frames Set and Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper.

•Host a $350* workshop and get the Four Frames Set and Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper for FREE!

Hoppy Easter!

Happy Easter!

I hope everyone has a wonderful day :)

This little bunny has come just in time to say HI!  Isn't he adorable?  I have been a little bit on a punch art roll....but as usual someone else thought him up....and I just figured out which punches were used :)

This is a BIG card.  Most of the ideas using him fasten a carrot out of the new Petal pouch bigz die, but I wanted to share these sweet treats with him on a regular card.  So once I built the bunny and carrot, he didn't fit on a standard card, so I put him on a 5 1/2 inch square card.

The bunny is made with 2 ornaments punched out, several sized circles and for the nose....well I took my circle punch and clipped a corner off of some pretty in pink paper.  Viola - - a perfect nose :)  His ears are made up of ovals....

And the carrot is a simple triangle with a scallop circle folded over the top.  A second scallop circle was cut in irregular strips and makes the leafy top.  Run your triangle thru the woodgrain texture plate and you have some pretty "realistic" carrot striations :)

Whiskers and paws are hand drawn with a black stampin' write marker.  After much fun discussion, the gals at my class Friday night, decided I had a bunny with some attitude since his paws are upside down!

We also enjoyed snacking on the sweet tart jelly beans that fill the heart shaped treat cup.

Little Lamb

My Little Lamb!  Isn't he the most adorable little card.  My upline, Glad, showed him to me.  I shared him in a class earlier this month and now I'm sharing him with YOU!

As perfect as he is for Easter....wouldn't he make the a great baby card?  or Baby Shower invitation?

He is really rather simple.  He is made completely out of punches and not one stamp is used.  You take your standard card base in white and use the finial press embossing folder to give him some woolly texture.

Use the small and medium oval punch to build his face, ears and legs.  The scallop oval completes his pillow top head.

And it wouldn't be complete with some googlie eyes :)

And what little lamb would be complete without a cotton tail?

Materials Used:

Stamps: none
Inks:  Basic Black (to sponge all the pieces)
Paper:  Whisper White, Basic Black
Accessories:  Big Shot, Scallop Circle Bigz Die, Finial Press Embossing Folder, Small Oval, Medium Oval, Scallop Oval, Scallop Circle, Sponge, Googlie Eyes

Easter Lamb

Happy Easter!

This is my first Easter card for you :)  And no....I didn't create this little lamb myself.  You all know how wonderful I am at the punch art....luckily I have a great support system of other demonstrators that have the eye for this fabulous punch art!

Can you tell how his little head was made??  Start with the owl punch and remove his little feetsies.  I stamped the swirls from the stamp set Priceless on Sahara Sand paper with Sahara Sand Ink.  It is also stamped along the bottom on Perfect Plum paper with Perfect Plum Ink.

And don't forget his precious little tail on the back.  This is the inside of the card.  Match up a second large scallop to the back and your all set.

Materials Used:

Stamps:  Priceless, All Holidays
Paper:  Perfect Plum, Sahara Sand, Elegant Eggplant, Basic Black
Ink:  Perfect Plum, Sahara Sand
Accessories:  2 3/8 inch Scallop Punch, 1 3/4 inch Scallop Punch, 1 1/4 Circle Punch, Owl Punch, Snips, Boho Blossoms Punch, Crumb Cake Seam Binding, Basic Black Marker

A Super Mario Bros Birthday!

Happy 10th Birthday to my Jacob :)

I made this card for my Wii loving little boy who turns 10 today!!!  Among many other things he just loves Super Mario Bros.  So when I came across these punched art Mario and Luigi....I knew I had to use these on his birthday card.

Ten years ago, today, I can recount every second of my day :)  And I love remembering it!  We'll start our day by looking at his baby book together.  A fun tradition we do on birthdays in our house.

It's hard to believe such a little teeny tiny baby is sooo big today. It's crazy how fast time is just whizzing by us!

Jacob, only a few days old...I loved how his soft, short little hair stuck straight up :)

Jacob, at about 6 months old, was always soo happy!!  He was the easiest baby ever to make laugh :)

Jacob, last summer, at the Grand Canyon.  How does something that came in such a little package get sooo big???  Still cute as ever!

Finally, a quick pic of the inside of the card....his brothers approved of the Super Mario card.  They loved that Mario and Luigi look like they are jumping on the mushrooms.....

Nature's Walk

This card was made for a workshop I had last month. I was invited to Jennifer's house for a fabulous dinner....she is a great chef! Always wows us with anything she creates, food and cards, alike!

It was also a hit at several of my other classes I held last month :)

I used the new set "Nature's Walk" from the Occasions Mini Catalog. It's really quite easy to make a simple "Wow" card with this set. A little bit of random stamping, a little bit of torn paper and a couple of Basic Pearls and we're all set! I know it's rather hard to see in this picture, but along the top and bottom of the Naturals Ivory paper, I pierced the paper to add some texture.

Supplies:

Stamps: Nature's Walk, Teeny Tiny Wishes

Ink: Not Quite Navy, Bravo Burgundy, So Saffron

Paper: Not Quite Navy, Bravo Burgundy, Naturals Ivory

Accessories: Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Basic Pearls, Paper Piercing Tool and Mat
