Does it surprise you that I completely fell in LUV with this little guy?

I have named him Yertle.

I couldn't resist using the Top Hat from the Snowman Builder Punch to dress him all fancy for his debut!

I had so much fun making this card.

I experimented with some layouts and different ways to color Yertle.

I'll share the different coloring variations with you very soon!

Had fun making this little gem during a virtual

Stampin' UP! convention.

I really like the layout and use of designer printed paper.

This package of paper has some great designs the go

very nicely for the rich, earthy theme for dragonflies.

Another cute card using my favorite Delicate Petals stamp set 

and the coordinating Lacy Petals Dies.

If you haven't guessed...I am partial to black, white, and red!

I love the color combination!

This card falls somewhere in between super fancy and super casual 

showing off the versatility of this set 💗

HYDRANGEA HAVEN

My absolute favorite flower is the Hydrangea.

So, of course, I absolutely had to have this bundle.

The coordinating designer paper, Hydrangea Hill, is also absolutely gorgeous.

It's one of those papers that each and every design is so beautiful; you simultaneously can't decide which paper to choose, yet you don't want to cut into it.

BUT! If you love it - - you gotta' share it, right?

You can't hide it away in the package on the shelf somewhere! 

I was looking for a way to show off as much of each side as I could, when I created this fold.

I tend to stick to clean and classic layouts, so the fact that I created my very own fold kind of astounded even myself!

This card uses an 11 x 4 piece of Designer Series Paper.

I choose a coordinating solid color in the same size to match

('cuz I wanted to be able to make even more cards with this layout!)

Each piece gets scored similar to a 'z' fold card. 

So this becomes my simplified version of a double 'w'.

(Not a typo. Double W!)

(Or as my high school spanish teacher whispers

in my head - -  dough-blay-oooo)

It's late...I might be a little on the crazy side, right now.

Anyhoo...

As you can see it opens to a very, very long card.

But it's just gorgeous being able to really see all that pretty paper!

Each layer is still a "wow" feature even when partially folded.

An added element to it's uniqueness....

the structure of the folds and weight of the paper

allows the card to stand up on it's own for display!!!

I wish I could say that was all by perfect design. 

But really, I'm the one that's usually "3-D" challeged.

So, it was a complete HAPPY coincidence!!

Remember, when I mentioned this card really shows off both sides of 

the Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper?

Well....here's the back of the card!!

And you get a really great big, solid area to admire! 

Who want's to cut this up into little 4 inch pieces 

and then cover it up???

We will definitely have to do a few more cards using this layout.

The pictures really don't do it justice!

In a couple of weeks, I'll have to create a tutorial to make this card.

I wanted to share with you my favorite set from the January to June Occasions Catalog.

This set is only available for a couple more weeks!

I quickly fell in love with this bundle. It caught my eye right away and I still love how beautiful these delicate petals turn out. 

I will admit - - I thought I'd already shared all the cards I'd made with this set!

So - - I'm going to have to share them all with you pretty darn quick! 

This set makes the greatest cards for every occasion 

- from quite formal - to super flirty - to very casual - 

Just all around fun and versatile.

I enjoyed adding a few of the Opal Rounds and created a customized greeting using the Treasured Tags Punch!

I was seeing so many great cards between other Stampin' UP! demonstrators and Pinterest (naturally, right?) I finally sat down one afternoon and made up a whole bunch of different cards using this set. 

I just picked a favorite at random, then "cased" it. Some of the cards I cased exactly, or I simply switched out colors or supplies that I already had in my supplies.
