Elegance

When I am stamping, I always keep a package of Basic Pearls and Rhinestones right where I keep my bone folder and paper snips....they have become as essential to use as my most basic tools. If you come to my classes, you probably have noticed they are always out and available to use. A couple of times they have added that perfect finishing touch to your own card. Well, part of the package includes 3 lines of teeny tiny pearls. They are, of course, all attached to each other so you can actually utilize them in a straight line easily. (You can also cut them apart to customize the length of your row)

Believe it or not, you get so many pearls and rhinestones, I am finally almost done with the first package I purchased back in July and ready for a new package. So these lines are starting to look lonely on the sheet and are calling my name!

I was thinking how great they would look on basic black cardstock and this is the card that has been stewing in my head for a few days.

So I pulled out my Big Shot and used the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder, some Basic Black Satin Ribbon and my pearls!

Since the inside is Basic Black and my Big Shot was just sitting there, already out and so handy....I thought the curvy lines of the Top Note would be perfect to tie in the "Elegant Lines" on the front.

I would send this card, just as it is, in a heartbeat! It is striking enough to stand on it own, but every card needs a sentiment, right??? This card would be equally appropriate for any formal event, a milestone birthday, congratulations, wedding, or even sympathy (not that we ever want to create those)

So...below you can see a I added a sentiment from Word Play using the Decorative Label Punch and a saying from Full of Life to the inside.

You wouldn't believe how fast this card goes together! The Big Shot is fantastic! Naturally it took me the longest to get the measurements for my funky fold, but we're talking less than 5 minutes for that! And since I've already done the "hard" part...

The Whisper White backing is a quarter sheet ( 5 1/2 x 4 1/4) and the Basic Black is ( 9 3/4 x 4 ) and scored at ( 4 1/2 ).

Happy Stamping :)
